In watchmaking there is a class of flight chronographs called "Type 20." The name belongs to no single brand, but comes from a strict set of "technical specifications" laid down by the French military for military flight watches in the mid-twentieth century. Any flight watch seeking military adoption had to pass the rigorous testing of these specifications.

These "Type 20" specifications set very specific and demanding requirements for a watch's performance: for instance, it had to have a "flyback" function, letting a pilot instantly reset and restart the timing; its timekeeping accuracy, shock resistance and power reserve all had to meet strict standards. This means a qualified Type 20's reliability and performance rest not on a maker's self-praise, but genuinely passed an independent, objective, extremely strict standard of testing. Its excellence was "examined" into being.

Here is an important truth: real performance and quality need a strict standard to measure and test them. Empty claims of how good one is mean nothing; passing a recognised, rigorous standard is the most convincing proof. A good standard is like a fair judge, able to sift out the showy and hollow and let genuinely solid, reliable strength stand out.

Choosing a car works exactly the same way. Whether a car's performance and safety are truly reliable cannot be judged by marketing alone, but by whether it has passed the various strict performance tests and safety standards. Those data and certifications that withstand the most rigorous testing are the most honest and powerful endorsement of a good car's true capability.

What K City Automobile believes in is that same attitude of "confirming strength through strict standards": vetting a car for you relies not on pretty talk, but on real performance and quality that withstand rigorous testing. Like the Type 20 passing the military's strict specifications, real quality has always withstood the strictest test of all.
